Green water is caused by algae from excess sunlight, nutrients, poor circulation, or runoff. Improve filtration and circulation, reduce nutrient sources, and add plants to absorb excess nutrients. Avoid chemicals, as they only mask the problem. UV lights can help but require additional equipment.
