The concept was to find fantastic plants that are durable, dependable, and tough.<\/p>\n<p>The definition of a Stepable is perennial plants that are problem-solving, creeping perennials that alleviate landscape dilemmas.<\/p>\n<p>We have carried Stepables for years now. Sandy\u2019s Plants have been a great, reliable source.<\/p>\n<p>As I mentioned earlier, there are many varieties of perennials that are grown as Stepables. For this blog, I want to highlight one variety that is a favorite of mine.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">WHITE CREEPING THYME<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17751 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.meadowsfarms.com\/great-big-greenhouse-gardening-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/06\/shutterstock_1126244846.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.meadowsfarms.com\/great-big-greenhouse-gardening-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/06\/shutterstock_1126244846.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/www.meadowsfarms.com\/great-big-greenhouse-gardening-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/06\/shutterstock_1126244846-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thymus praecox \u2018Albiflorus\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>LIGHT<\/strong> &#8211; FULL SUN<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEIGHT<\/strong> &#8211; 1\u201d TO 2\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPREAD<\/strong> &#8211; 10\u201d TO 15\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>HARDINESS<\/strong> &#8211; ZONES 5 \u2013 8 ( We are Zone 7 here in Central Virginia )<\/p>\n<p>White Creeping thyme is a very low-growing plant that can stand foot traffic. It spreads to create a dense mat of small, light green leaves that, when crushed, have a spicy fragrance. I chose the White Creeping Thyme to highlight because right now it is in full bloom with its tiny white flowers that cover the plant. It would remind you of snow on top of a plant.
